Privacy Policy

FlashDemo ("we", "us") provides a frame-based product demo platform at https://flashdemo.live and https://app.flashdemo.live, including a Chrome extension for capturing demos. Contact: [email protected].

Account data. When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (via Firebase Authentication).

Demo content. When you record or save a demo we store screenshots (frames), interaction metadata (clicks, scrolls, typing, navigation), labels, chat bubbles, zoom settings, and related demo metadata in Firebase Firestore and Cloud Storage.

Billing data. Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We store your plan tier, Stripe customer and subscription IDs, and billing interval. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Extension session data. The Chrome extension uses local browser storage for recording state, captured frames, and an auth bridge with the web app so demos can be saved to your account. Recording only starts when you explicitly begin a session.

Usage analytics. Our marketing site may use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the landing pages (page views, clicks, and session replays). The product app may collect demo engagement signals for analytics features on eligible plans.

• We do not sell your personal information
• We do not collect browsing history from pages you are not actively recording with the extension
• The extension does not load remote executable code; network calls are for auth and saving demos to Firebase

We share data only with processors needed to run the product:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage)
• Stripe (payments and subscriptions)
• Microsoft Clarity (marketing site analytics, where enabled)
• Hosting providers that serve our websites

Public demos and embeds may be viewable by anyone with the link, depending on how you share them. Free-plan demos may display a FlashDemo watermark.

We retain account and demo data while your account is active. You can delete demos from the dashboard. Extension local storage is cleared when you start a new session or clear the recording. You may request account deletion by contacting us.

Access to demos in Firestore and Storage is controlled by security rules: public read for player/embed use cases, and create/update/delete limited to the signed-in owner. We use industry-standard transport encryption (HTTPS) for app and API traffic.

FlashDemo is intended for business and professional use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date on this page.
